Meet the Team

  • Ashley (she/her)

    LEAD EDUCATOR

    Ashley graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Middle Childhood Education. She also holds a M.S. Degree in Learning Design from Bowling Green State University. Over the past seven years, she has taught 7th and 8th grade math and science and worked with elementary students on early literacy skill acquisition. Ashley is also mom to a six-year-old kiddo. She believes in student-centered learning that is focused on children's interests and growth. Her hope is to foster a lifelong love of learning in our student community!

  • Rachael (she/her)

    CO-MANAGER

    Rachael has been in the world of administration and customer service for over fifteen years. She had her start in the hospitality industry and transitioned to private practice management in the field of mental health. She is passionate about children expressing their individuality, understanding themselves better, and being celebrated for who they are. She loves being the mother of her two amazing kids. She is also an Ohio Notary, entrepreneur, and a commissioned artist with a BFA from Ohio Wesleyan University.

  • Kalah (she/her)

    CO-MANAGER

    Kalah has an extensive background working with children, including some experience managing her own child care business. While much of her time has been with the infant through elementary age group, she is passionate about serving middle schoolers in our community. Kalah is mom to two kids who have inspired her to take part in offering an alternative middle school option unlike any other in our area.

  • Bethany (she/they)

    HEALTH AND WELLNESS EDUCATOR

    Bethany earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and is a licensed and registered nurse in both Oklahoma and Ohio. She has a strong passion for forensic nursing, particularly in Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) work. When asked about her favorite nursing role, Bethany would share about her four years of experience in child advocacy in Oklahoma. Working with the adolescent community to educate them on body safety, healthy sexual development, and communication has been the most rewarding aspect of her nursing career. She is excited to begin a new role as the health and wellness educator for middle schoolers at Willow Grove.

  • Jay (he/him)

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

    Jay has been working with children and youth in some capacity for over fifteen years. He has a degree in early childhood and elementary education. He has been an early childhood educator for almost a decade. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree at Kent State in Library Science to be a Youth Librarian. Jay has coached swimming for over fifteen years and continues to coach in the summers. He is the father to a wonderful six year old and avid Lego fan.
